Rob, Rob, Rob...
I was going to leave you alone but you had to go and dig yourself in. Hope you have a comfy couch and no need for sleep.
Where do we start? Our
lefty friend says so much yet covers so little.
Let's start with a quote of his post:
Our first stalker
You know you've hit the big time when:
You have your first stalker! Apparently "With Eyes Closed" has struck a nerve with some wacko out there in Bloggerland, and this person has started their own blog with no apparent purpose other than to criticize me and my blog! Apologies to those who would like to read it, I refuse to give this person the attention they are craving from myself and my readers.
Suffice to say, this person is obviously someone I know. They have some issue with me and my views, yet refuse to give out their 'true' identity, in fact they revel in the fact that they can say whatever they want "in secrecy."
Well, there's no secrecy here. I'm out front, in full view. I say what I think and am not afraid to let my identity be known. This person's obvious cowardice and lack of conviction only serve to lend even less credence to whatever point it is they're trying to make.
This person read my post about Pepsi's "Brown and Bubbly" ad campaign and went off on how I know nothing about marketing because here I was discussing it, so hey, their campaign worked! Stalker, read it again, but this time try to dredge up something you've obviously lost somewhere along the way: humor. I don't question whether their campaign worked or not... plenty of people will probably keep drinking their brown and bubbly poison. My point was that it was pretty amusing that their campaign sought to liken their product with something that comes out of my ass after a bad burrito. It's FUNNY, in my opinion, and this blog is about MY OPINION.
Hey, Stalker, here are a few things to keep in mind: this blog is a place for me to express myself. My thoughts, my opinions. Anyone who makes it their mission in life to attack someone because of their opinions and observations only exposes him/herself as a coward and an idiot. If you'd like to debate and discuss things intelligently, then by all means show yourself and let's have at it. However, after reading the few posts on your blog, I doubt that intelligent discussion is something you're capable of.
Continue hiding and trying to give the appearance of intelligence while you witlessly throw insults at people who are happily living their own lives and expressing their own views. If I do know you, and I do see you and consider you a friend (why else would you choose me of all people to latch onto?), then shame on you for being a liar and a coward. Eventually, all things hidden are exposed to the light.
Stalker? I drop into your blog based on a search I did on Technorati, disagreed with your comments, and then opined as I have every right to do, and you call me a stalker? Now I took a guess at how you would have reacted but I was quite off on the words that may have been used. I will, however, give you credit for being creative.

Ok wait a minute Rob... are you trying to take credit for this blog??? Dude, you just so happened to be my first couple of posts. That's it that's all! I gave you some credit for the stalker comment, but you're not getting brownie points for this paragraph.
Suffice to say, this person is obviously someone I know. They have some issue with me and my views, yet refuse to give out their 'true' identity, in fact they revel in the fact that they can say whatever they want "in secrecy."
Rest assured, you don't know me and God knows I've never met you.

No shit on your first sentence. And the point I DID make is clearly stated in my earlier posts about your comments. I would like to add that you failed to dispute both posts. Not that I care, just making another point.

ummm... I did read the full post. In fact, I took a close look at it as outlined in the post on this blog. Humor was not at all lost. I laughed quite a bit and am still chuckling at the mere thought.
Of course your blog is about YOUR OPINION. Which makes it even more true that I shouldn't have to point out that my posts are MY OPINION.
Seriously...

Rob, hopefully you don't really expect me to comment on that sad little paragraph. You again assume that I set up a blog to specifically target YOU. How about this... If YOU wish to debate then HAVE AT IT, Rob! I've disputed your opinion here in public. Anyone who can read can read it. You haven't at all attempted to debate my points; Rather, you instantly resorted to name calling and baseless assumptions.
Keep reaching for that can of reality. You need a few sprays.
Continue hiding and trying to give the appearance of intelligence while you witlessly throw insults at people who are happily living their own lives and expressing their own views. So let me get this straight, Rob. You are free to speak freely about anyone you wish yet when someone turns around and does the same to you the world is at an end?
I can't stand most of what Bush does. Most of his policies discust me. Yet you posted this:
There was a time when I thought the look on George W.'s face was that of innocence and sincerity. That passed (thankfully), and I came to regard the President's expression as one of arrogance. "I'm going to do whatever I want, and there's nothing you can do to stop me. After all, my daddy's the Presid- wait, hey... I'M the President!"
I think perhaps the expression we're all so used to seeing, and that we're all constantly trying to figure out, is really one of complete and utter fear. He's not good at looking into the camera and lying bold-faced to the world like Daddy Bush was. Daddy could convince us to trust him, he at least gave the impression that he knew what he was talking about. Little George just doesn't have it in him.
Whenever he has to go in front of a camera, especially in unscripted moments where he may be forced to think on his feet and give the appearance of wisdom and intelligence, his expression belies his terror that the facade may all come crumbling down. It's a horrible way to live, if you think about it.
He doesn't belong in the political "big leagues," lacks the confidence and charisma to be an effective "President," but he knows just enough about the way the world really is to be scared completely shitless.
Nothing wrong with that. It is afterall, your honest opinion on Bush.
So I ask you, Rob. What did I do that is so different? I disagree with you, you make your opinions public, so I publically disagree with you.
I blog for a living so I've got all night. I'm on a wireless sprint card with 3 back up batteries and will gladly debate you night and day if that is your wish. When you speak your mind in the public arena of ideas, be prepared for people to come along and dispute them.
No need to cry about it...
